The first thing that you need to do regardless of the printer that you have is check your printhead status by printing a nozzle check pattern. This will tell you if your head needs cleaning. Printing in pink signifies that 1 or more colors are either clogged or blocked signaling  that a head cleaning or a few is necessary. In order to avoid clogs and head congestions make sure to print regularly or at least once every 3rd day.
