This is a relatively common/known issue with some Canon printers.
  • This is a defective scanner issue that will not allow the printer to function at all and this cannot be resolved by troubleshooting. 
  • The printer must be replaced or professionally repaired. 
  • It can be faulty from the production or can happen from agitation during shipping.
  • Canon is aware of the defect, especially in the newer models and accepts full responsibility. Inkedibles can help get the printer replaced, all we need is your order # and the serial number on the back of your printer and is 4 letters and 5 digits long (it often starts with AD or AE). Email this info to support@inkedibles.com so we can get the printer replaced for you.

    WHEN YOU RETURN THE PRINTER, DO NOT RETURN THE INKEDIBLES CARTRIDGES. HOLD ON TO THEM, AND USE THEM ON THE NEW PRINTER THAT WILL BE SENT TO YOU FROM CANON.
