This has to do with a mix of things.
1. The item
2. The printer
3. Using a predesigned grid or not
Most images are able to be centered within a substrate with a range of 3%.
The heavier the substrate the easier it is to center and print. If printing only to Macarons then since they are
a) lightweight and
b) half shells - we would expect users to have some type of adhesive under - or use a grid made out of plexiglass or acrylic to house these macarons in order to get an exact 100% match.
If we are solely relying on the tray to move the products into position then we need to cater for 3% shifting of the lightweight materials.
